Banishing Spells

Did my first ever banishing spells yesterday. Burned a black candle with a name engraved plus the words indecision, clutter and confusion. Banished the name to the fire, indecision to the earth, clutter to the water and confusion to the wind. Felt really, really good afterwards. Today - not so much, but I'm working on it.

Last First Day

Today is the last 'first day of the rest of my life'. I've been declaring that 'this is the first day of the rest of my life' off and on since the 70's when the saying first became popular. I'm afraid I have used up just about all of my do-overs. It's time I got serious. I have a major move ahead of me that will place me in the bossum of my fellow Pagans, and I don't want to blow it. It may be the last major move I ever make.

May the godesses and gods I now embrace guide my path.

Blessings to all!

Major Arcana for Tarot Readings

We had our first lesson today on Oly's Blog Talk Radio Show. We went over the meanings of the Major Arcana (Trump cards). It is so much simpler when you have a live person to explain things, rather than a cold page of words in a book. Next week we'll go over the reverses of the Major Arcana or Trumps cards. See last post for link to the show. I should be on the show May 1st, reading my coming out poetry.

Learning the Tarot

Tomorrow I will take my new Rider-Waite 78-card deck and tune into Coffe with Oly on Blog Talk Radio at 1 PM PDT. She's going to introduce her listeners to the fine art of Tarot reading. If you'd like to join us the link is: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/olympias

To Honor the Goddesses and Gods or to Deny Them

I am coming out because I have a desire to honor the Goddesses and Gods who have embraced me and not hide them as some shameful secret.

Even Christians hang their Christ and their crosses prominently on their walls. My pentagram and my altar deserve no less recognition than to be openly displayed.

What shall we display to the world on May 2nd?

WAITING FOR THE 2ND OF MAY

As a solitary Witch, I have been content to keep my religion to myself. No one outside of a very, very small circle of friends knows that I have been studying the Craft. A few others may suspect. Only my husband and a new friend in Roswell, NM know for certain.

I will be joining, I hope, thousands (or at least hundreds) like myself on the 2nd of May to come out of my broom closet and light my candles for the world to see.

I will be celebrating IPCOD - International Pagan Coming Out Day.

Check it out at http://pagancomingoutday.com/

In the coming days, I will address my desire to come out and my misgivings of becoming visible. Please join me.
